At the annual conferences, EALE will facilitate in job market sessions that offer job market candidates whose research is in the field of Labour Economics, a platform for presenting their job market paper. This presentation also enables candidates to prepare for the US Job Market. During the conference we also organize a meeting moment where job market candidates and conference participants can meet and greet in an informal way.
Candidates interested in presenting their paper under the EALE job market facility should not submit their paper through the regular submission process but mail it (or at least an extended abstract, as in most cases a paper may not yet be available) until February 1, 2017 to email@example.com This channel is only open for students who intend to be on the job market at the end of 2017. The submission should be accompanied by a recommendation letter of the candidate’s supervisor, who should also confirm that the student will be on the market. Decisions on acceptance will be notified no later than March 1, 2017. Accepted submissions will only be included in the Job Market Sessions if the candidate has been registered for the conference by May 1, 2017. We expect candidates to send us their paper by September 1st 2017. Job market candidates will be listed as candidates on the EALE job market website and the conference app. We will include the CV’s of the candidates and link to their home pages and/or contact details.
University departments and research departments of academic and non-academic institutions searching for graduate labour economists are requested to inform the EALE secretariat on their vacancies. We will post these vacancies on EALE’s website and inform the participating candidates on these vacancies.
