CERGE-EI
is proud to announce that it will host the EALE Conference 2006 on
September 22-23, 2006. The event will bring together top European labour
economists as well as prominent US researchers and CERGE-EI secured the
auspices of Pavel Bem, the Prague city mayor, for the conference. The
partnership of local scientific organizers of the congress consists of
CERGE-EI, the Czech Economic Society,
the Czech National Bank, and the
Institute of Economics Studies of Charles University.
CERGE-EI is a joint workplace in the field
of economics of the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education
(CERGE) of Charles University
in Prague and the Economics Institute (EI) of the
Academy of Sciences of the
Czech Republic. CERGE-EI offers a U.S.-style Ph.D. program in economics,
taught in English, which is
fully accreditedin
both the United States and the Czech Republic. It also carries out
research
of the highest international standards. Its location in the heart of
Europe has proven to be beneficial in attracting high-quality
researchers, faculty and students concerned with the impact of social,
economic and political transition in the CEE/fSU region.
